An approach that uses a new generation of dietary supplements, or "informational supplements", based on trace minerals complexes that speak directly to the body's intelligence to strengthen its vitality and support its self-regulation. Suited for all ages, without any contra-indications, they provide interesting responses to various stresses that diminish psychophysical well-being.

This is not a treatment but a holistic approach to the person that offers highly effective tools to strengthen the field upon which psychosomatic, functional, biological, or even lesioning illnesses can develop.

Started in France in 1985, Nutripuncture has become known in Europe, North America, and Asia, and in countries where doctors and health practitioners, sensitive to the need for strengthening, well-being and supporting overall psycho-physical vitality, use it with satisfaction.

According to numerous studies, the prevalence of post-traumatic stress disorder is estimated between 1-10% of the world’s population. The analysis of these variations is complex. Most are due to the nature of the various criteria selected to pose the diagnosis, and according to various versions of the systems of classification of the diseases between the publications of the DSM III through to the current publication of the DSM IV TR. With Nutripuncture, one can treat the root of the problem by rebooting the cellular memory and speed up the healing process.

The mission of the Urban Zen Integrative Therapy program is to change the present healthcare paradigm, to treat the patient and not just the disease. Through our partnerships, we are transforming patient care in hospitals, healthcare education in nursing schools, self-care in the home and emergency relief in disasters. The curriculum is an intensive in yoga therapy, Reiki, essential oil therapy, self-care and nutrition. The goal of the session is to both improve the experience of illness and the overall quality of life for patients and for the healthcare professionals that treat them.

A 2008 research study at Beth Israel Medical Center showed a marked reduction in the intake of pain and nausea medications among those patients receiving a session with an Urban Zen Integrative Therapist, resulting in cost savings for the hospital. Patients also reported an increase in satisfaction with their hospital experience.

Urban Zen Integrative Therapists started in Southampton Hospital’s Ambulatory Surgery Unit in 2010, and four years later our therapists are present on clinical floors in the hospital. UZIT’s have also given pre-operative care to breast cancer patients along with weekly classes for survivors of women’s cancer. Here is a selection of testimonials from people at the hospital who have witnessed the benefits of the UZIT program.
